DERMAL FILLERS

CHEEK FILLER INJECTIONS IN SHREWSBURY, SHROPSHIRE

Dermal fillers, commonly called cheek fillers, give volume to the face, elevate the cheekbones, and make wrinkles and fine lines less noticeable. An enhanced bone structure is present because of the volume injected above and around the cheekbones.

Dermal fillers can be used to define specific regions on the hands, decolletage, and face while restoring youthful plumpness and lessening the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. Due to the fantastic results, they can produce and the growing awareness of the significance of cheekbones in the overall architecture of the face, dermal fillers are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for both men and women.

HOW DO DERMAL FILLERS WORK?

TOP UP TREATMENTS WHERE REQUIRED
Cheek or cheekbone fillers are the ideal treatment to add plumpness or volume to the cheeks to give a more defined bone structure. This is achieved by injecting hyaluronic acid into targeted areas of the cheeks via a small needle. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally produced in the skin to give it the firm, plumpness we associate with a youthful appearance.

Cheek fillers are injected into targeted areas from the edge of the eye socket to the corner of the mouth and up to the ear canal. During your consultation, our aesthetic doctor will discuss the results you want to achieve and assess your skin to ensure the cheek fillers are injected into the most appropriate areas to achieve your desired result. Our experienced doctor will also ensure the results complement your other facial features to achieve a natural-looking enhancement.

You will begin to see results straight after the treatment, but it will take a couple of days for the cheek filler to settle into place fully. There is no downtime required, but you may experience some bruising and swelling. It is advised that you avoid strenuous exercise and sleeping on your cheeks for the first few days after having the treatment.

Cheek fillers may not be the most appropriate treatment for you if you are a smoker or have a history of chronic health conditions. They are also not advised if you have any bleeding disorders, are allergic to any of the ingredients in cheek fillers or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

BENEFITS OF CHEEK FILLERS

Several cosmetic procedures available today promise to offer patients more prominent cheeks and more defined cheekbones, such as cheek implants and surgical facelifts. However, they frequently entail surgery, which has a higher risk, necessitates prolonged recovery, and has irreversible results. Hyaluronic acid cheek fillers offer many advantages over surgical procedures, including the following:
  • No recovery period after treatment
  • It can be done as a walk-in, walk-out procedure
  • Results are visible right away and last for six to twelve months
  • Slow build-up over time to achieve the desired results
  • Subtle, natural-looking results
  • Very minimal likelihood of infections
